US’s 125% tariff on all Chinese goods will hit the electronics industry hard, as US tech companies including Dell and HP manufacture their products in China. US is reportedly dependent on imports from China for the following products (by value): gaming consoles (86% of Chinese imports, $6 billion in 2024), computer monitors (79%, $5 billion), smartphones (73%, $41 billion), lithium-ion batteries (70%, $16 billion), and laptops (66%, $32 billion).
